Professional Radio CPS R06.04.00

Post by David Farr »

Can anyone tell me what radios Professional Radio CPS R06.04.00 will program? I can't find it on moto's site.

I'm looking for a windows program for programming spectra radios and was wondering if this would work for it. Otherwise I'll have to get the dos versions and a very sloooooowwww computer to use it. I was told to buy astro software but I dont think it will work with standard spectra's. I've tried to call Moto several times now and havent been able to anyone on the phone, I just get terminal hold...

Profesional CPS is for the waris series: Ht750/1250/1550 & CDM750/1250/1550 as well as the EX500/600.

there is NO CPS for the analog spectra's, DOS RSS is the only program available.

You are correct. Neither the Professional Series CPS, nor the Astro series software can be used to program the analog Spectra. You will need the "plain" Spectra RSS, RVN4001.

One bit of good news- the current release of Spectra RSS is Pentium compatible so, while you still have to run it in a true DOS environment, you are not necessarily stuck using a painfully slow machine.

The rumor that all RSS requires a slow computer just will not die. Motorola fixed the timing problems that created a need for slow machines in many of the later versions. Take a look here for a fairly full listing of which versions are Pentium compatible.
