Software On Motorola Online

Post by john1545 »

I'm looking to buy from Motorola, CPS software to program about 30 MTS2000 radios. I have on a file a general software agreement with them, but when I try to apply for the restricted software license, after I fill out the form I get the message "Issue with submitting questionnaire, please try again later". Anyone know why this would be happening?

MTS isn't restricted.

You should simply be able to go on MOL, search for the software part number, choose buy, and put the order through. You may get your CD's faster than your account enabled for download.

While the account I've done this on is a public safety account, and may not fall under these restrictions.....

Hmmm I'll have to try to find the part number. (Perhaps you know what it is). Also how would you get a public safety account (I work for a fire department so I'd imagine I am eligible), and is there any advantage to it?

You have to go through one of the sales reps in your area. I wasn't the one that setup the account, but it is in the departments name, billed to them. AFAIK, they still have terms on the account, but you can also purchase using credit.

Last time I checked it's RVN4176T for MTS2000 ONLY CPS.

Listed $279 for my average joe MOL account :)
