GP68 UHF - Receiver is deaf!

Post by jistabout »

Greetings Earthlings.....

I have here a UHF GP68 portable which was working fine and then I sold it on eBay several months ago and the new owner said that the receiver was quite insensitive. Said he took it to a local radio shop and they told him that the transmitter was fine and at rated power but the receiver needed help.

I gladly took it back and refunded his money, no problem.

I had used this radio just prior to selling and it seemed to work fine but the repeater which I use it on is very close so perhaps I didn't notice?

I got it back several months ago and its just been sitting so I'd like to fix it.

Anyone seen this problem with these? I've checked antenna connections (internal and external) etc. to no avail. Also, can incorrect Oscillator Warp adjustment on these cause this? I do know that a prior owner poked around with these settings.

As always, thank you very much and any help is certainly appreciated.

Merry Christmas :)
Aww screw it. I didn't wanna fool with it anymore anyhow.
