maxtrac 300 out of band help

Post by anautofix »

I have a 32ch 45 watt unit split is from 403-430 I want to use it in the 440 band. The frequency was taken but it will not go into xmit. On the reverse split radios 450-470 I can use the shift method to get them to work in the 440 band. Is there anything I can do to make this a useable radio??

[email protected] thx.

No.
The low split will only go so far into the upper range.
You can tweak the VCO, but it will only go so far.
I suggest you sell it to someone who needs the low split, which is more rare. You should be able to get an even swap.
ps it is a 40w, not 45w
