upgrade a cdm1550 LS to more than 16 conventional channels?

is there a way to upgrade/modify a cdm1550-LS mobile from the current configuration of 112 channels of LTR trunking and 16 channels of conventional for a total of 128 channels...
to some configuration with less LTR trunking and more conventional? as it stands this radio absolutely wont do any more than 16 conventional channels, but will do lots of trunked, dont need all the trunked, need more conventional.
