CDM1550 LS+ Horn and Lights Activation

Post by KDN »

Is it possible and how in depth is it to have a CDM1550LS+ control warning lights on a vehicle.. In the programming, I've always saw where you can program a button for horn and lights, but would I be able to program the button for this feature and all of my emergency lights on my vehicle turn on??? TIA

What radios do you own?: AM/FM

simple. set up one of the auxillary outputs of a CDM to "latching" and set up a pin on the back connector. Once you have that done, you can attach that pin to a transistor / relay to close a larger current switch (the cdm max per pin is a couple of hundred mA's)...attach your load to the business end of the relay, and you are in business.

By setting the control type to "latching" (as opposed to momentary) you will get push on / push (again) off control of your lights....if you leave it set for momentary, then you will get lights as long as your switch is set for.
