Charge time with a Jedi NTN1171A NTN1171

Post by Grog »

How long should it fully (not just a green light) charge a Multiplier M7144 1500mah nicad battery?

Thanks

P.S. I know it's probably simple, but my brain is not working too well today :D

According to the literature which accompanies the chargers, it can take up to 3 hours of 'trickle' charge (after the light turns green) to fully charge a battery. The point at which it turns green can be anywhere from 80-90% capacity.

I know I've seen lots of opinions on the charge time, but I needed to find out as we (work) had a cooked battery recently.

While an Impress system is sexy, using $30 multiplier batteries on an "old" charging system is our real world

Just remember to pull the batteries out of the charger after the green LED has been on for an hour or two. Leaving them in the charger will distroy the batteries in time, even tho the green LED is on.
