Hi all,
I was offered a UHF repeater that is labeled Motorola but no specific name to it. It has a model number of 02931A and Serial of 376FNN0151. It says it is programmed for 469.55Mhz. I would like to determine if it can be programmed to a HAM freq so I can put up a repeater in my garage.
It has duplexer already installed as well if that helps figure it out. I have tried google but no luck. Its about 5 years old from a factory where it was used commercially for the local radios. Thats all I know about it.
Thanks for the help.

I'd bet that you misread the Model number, I think it's a Q2931A which indicates some sort of a Specialty Product. The first three digits of the Serial number indicates the /\/\ American Product Code but now you would have to be careful because back towards 2000 /\/\ started re-issuing older APCs for the newer products.
Another interesting thing is your comments:
And being a repeater station, generally a repeater station will indicate Tx Freq 464.000 MHz Low and RX Freq 469.000 MHz High unless this station is located outside the USA borders some location Internationally.
This makes me wonder how the customer was using the station? Perhaps a PURC Link Paging station?
It would be very helpful if you could post a photo or two of the station.

Thanks for the fast reply. My brother actually read the number to me so he may have mistaken the letters. I was told it came from a factory and they used it for radios. The guy who offered it to me is very honest but I guess that doesn't mean his sources were.
Interesting stuff, if I go back to his house I will shoot some pics of it and send them to you but it may be a while before I can get back.
You have been most helpful, thanks,
Rob
