M1225 LS Alpha Tags

When programming one of my M1225 LS radios, the RSS (or wanna-be CPS 1225 software lol) will not let me enter 8 Alpha Characters, but instead, only lets me do 7. There are 8 Alpha positions on the LCD, and the 1225 brochure even states "8 Character Alpha-Naming Display".

Any ideas on how to make this thing display 8? I find it odd I can only enter 7.

The 8th character is reserved for the talkgroup channel number or channel letter (depending upon the Group Display Type field).

For conventional channels, you just lose it.
