MPT-1327 Mod for GP/GM300 CPS

Post by NSPD »

I just got a VHF GP680 in, and i'm told there is a simple CPS mod that will allow me to read/write the radio with the GM/GP300 series CPS.... I just haven't been able to find out what actually needs to be done. How do I do this mod? I have Professional Radio GP/GM300 CPS Ver 03.02.01.

The radio itself is a GP680 with Firmware R02.00.22 that apparently came from Iraq.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I´ve never heard about this modification. If the 10 conventional channels are enough for your needs, search and get the GM/GP6xx RSS and program the radio.
If you want to have the full 250channels and select 5,flash it into a GP380
and program it with the latest GM/GP3xx RSS.
