HT1550 XLS Bricked?
I recently bought an HT1550 off of Ebay. It seemed to work fine when I got it. I programmed the radio and it worked fine for about 10 minutes. Then all of a sudden it started to beep and the screen was reading some kind of RC error I believe. I turned it off and then back on but now nothing happens when I turn it back on. I know its not a battery issue because I tried several batteries and I cannot read or write to the radio. Did I screw something up? Is it fixable? Im extremely frustrated. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
is it totally dead? do you hear a hiss in the speaker or does anything show up in the display? even if it was inhibited you would see and hear something. maybe fuse? what color is the rubber ring around the power contacts?

It was probably a "CS error" (checksum error) or "HW error" (hardware error). Sometimes they can be cleard with a firmware upgrade, sometimes not.
