OT: Zetron 4010 QC Tones

Post by arlojanis »

I can program standard QC II tones in a Zetron 4010. How do I program a call that uses tone A in one group and tone B from another group?

Program as Motorola 1000 call. Need to pick a Motorola paln that has both group 1 and 2. I believe that it will be a 4-digit entry (first digit is a leading digit, then 3 digit pager code).

It sounds like if I go to the 1000 call, I will have to reprogram all of the existing Group 1 calls. The new call is from Group 2 and Group 5. Can I do a custom call for just the new one?

You can do it as a custom call if that option was purchased from Zetron. Do you now have any custom calls on the system?

In our 4010's Zetron used leading digit 9 for group calls so the first custom call is 9001.

Look in the paging setup and see if custom is there.
Cause Motorola said so that's why

If you go to an unused leading digit (9 for example) and set it for Motorola 1000 call "D" plan.
You can then send a page to group 2 and 5 (A tone group 2, B tone group 5) by entering 98xx (xx is the last 2 digits of the pager code).

If you are using group 1, then you can still enter 1xx (xx is the last 2 digits of the pager code) to page a group 1 pager.

I want to program a button for the odd call. I will not be using the keyboard. Does this effect the way I program to get the odd call?

Do you presently have buttons assigned to pager calls? If so, then you have the required "Instant Call" option.

Just follow the info that I gave previously to set up the pager group.

Then assign a button as Instant call, tie it to the proper channel, enter the pager code. Thats it.
