fire station alerting something you might like

Here is a link below to a relay activated audio player I have been buying and installing in fire houses. It's really easy to setup and you can play any audio file. Plus you can set it up to play multiple sounds so if your station has multiple quick calls you can have a different sound for each one. I put emergency station 51 tones in at my station the guys love it. Just a idea.

with its i/o contacts you could even make your own quick call encoder with this and wire it to a radio. Make a board with a buttons each button has its own tone or list of tones. you press the button and it sends it out. pretty niffty

Will this set up work with a Minitor V pager? So, if dispatch sends out a two-tone page to activate the Minitor V, instead of hereing the standard alert beeping, this will produce what ever alert tone we want instead?

Yes, it will. Suggestion: If this is for something critical like station alerting, I suggest you trigger it with a commerical product (Federal Signal Informer, or a Motorola pager in the amplified base).
