MTS 2000 MODEL3 VHF CODEPLUG NEEDED OR TECHNICAL HELP

Post by policek-9 »

I think I need a new codeplug. When I power my MTS2000 on it completes the self test and shows the name for channel 1 on the screen. After about 5 secounds it switches on the screen from channel 1 to channel 3 on it own.

I dont think so i checked all of them. It is weird I have never seen a radio do this before. It passes the self test, But no matter what channel you have it on it is right for the first 5 seconds then it switches to a different channel on the screen without moving the channel knob. It also transmits and recieves on the channel displayed on the screen not the channel selected. You can move the channel knob back to channel 1 and it will transmit and recieve on channel 3 and show channel 3's info on the screen. But when you put it on channel 3 it is right and doesnt change after 5 seconds.

It is rude to type your posts in all caps. Please refrain from doing so.

Put your radio into test mode & check the buttons/switches. To do this, turn on the radio & wait for the 'self test' to clear. Then press the bottom side button 5 times (there is a 10 second time-out if you're too slow). The radio will enter test mode & start displaying the model number, serial number, flashcode, etc. Press the blue side button to enter into 'button test' mode. Every button & switch position will have a corresponding numeric value on the screen. Check to make sure your A-B-C toggle switch & channel selector switch are good (no repeat or missing numeric values).
