I have a Saber 1 with a 438-470 split and a Saber 3 with a 403-430 split. Can I switch parts from the Saber 1 into the Saber 3 to bring the Saber 3 into the 438-470 split so it will be useful to me?
Thanks for any assistance, Joe.

S1/S3 parts swap...
Joe:
Just switch the cases and the interior front shields between
the radios. Your Saber 1 will become a 430-470 Saber 3 and
your new Saber 1 403-433 can be used as a doorstop.
You may also find some references on this Board over the
past several years on this exact subject if you do a search.
If both radios are tuned up and working okay this should be
a quick and easy operation, although getting the ribbon
connectors connected when you put the shields back on can
be a tedious process. Go slow and don't bend any pins.
