How do you tell what the battery date code is?

How can you tell by the date code when the /\/\ battery was manufactured?

Generally you'll find a 3 digit code (sometimes followed 3 or 4 letters)

123

Position 1 equals the year (1 = 2001, 2 = 2002, 3 = 2003 etc)
Position 2&3 indicate the week of the year the warranty goes into effect (23 = 23rd week, 51 = 51st week etc)
