Removing a trunking system MTS2000

Post by High_order1 »

I have searched repeatedly, but guess my board-fu is weak. Somehow, I have managed to coax the codeplug out of my project radio. I want to delete the UHF trunking system in it, and simply have a conventional radio.

I can get access to that systems' key if necessary.

I vaguely recall that there has to be one system or something peculiar like that. I tried putting a couple of token conventional modes in it, and then delete the trunking system, but no joy.

radio firmware is 5.13 /.14 thereabouts, and to be honest this thing has been such an unholy pain in my ass, toolproofing would be a welcome relief.

Thanks and sorry I couldn't find the pertinent threads on my own.

There has to be at least one trunked system in the radio, but you can simply leave it 'sitting there' and only assign conventional personalities to the zone/channel assignment field. If you really want to get rid of it, you could turn it into an MT2000...that's about the only way.
