Depot No Longer Supports LS to LS+ Upgrades

Post by Victor Xray »

In the past, I have successfully been able to get a CDM1550LS and an HT1250LS upgrade to 9AN LS+ models through the depot. Unfortunately today, that upgrade is no longer supported. My dealer called the depot and confirmed the information that was written on the bottom of this quote request. Supposedly they are enforcing stricter rules, and this restriction applies to ANY model radio whose upgrade requires a model number change (not just the HT/CDM series).

I'd suggest trying again and hoping you get a different rep to work on the quote. Just last month I got pricing on upping a Minitor 5 2CH NSV to a Minitor 5 2CH SV and they priced it at about $150....

Couldn't one just order the option board and install it? I have never tried installing a Passport board into a non-LS+ radio before but I could try. :)
