I have several of each of these portables. Other than the number of channels (6 in my P200's and either 8 or 16 in my MT1000's), they appear similar, with similar accessories. How alike (or different!) are they?
Thanks!

P200 vs. MT1000

I'm not an expert on these radios, but I think the only differences are the case parts and the controller/logic boards. I'm pretty sure the RF boards are the same, and I know the chassis, batteries, and antennas are the same.
I have a low-band MT1000, and the case parts are the *only* difference between it and a P200. It seems to use the same logic/controller board, as it has six channels like a P200, and uses P200LB RSS.

There are some differences in the RF boards. The MT1000 series RF boards have a different receiver frontend alowing it to cover a wider frequency range. Also the transmitter PA is also wider.
The P200/HT600 have adjustments in the RF frontend and the PA, and do not cover more than a couple of mHz without realignment.

They also use different software for programming. (standard)
