simo control on micor repeater

Post by AHSGA »

I purchase several boards for a Micor uhf repeater. One of them is a simo control board ,trn5379b. Any more info on this board besides what I found in a search: "PURC card

Decodes function tones and keys the transmitter in response to correct code sequences."

Any docs on this board? I notice dip switches. Are these used to set up tones?

Would it be used in a ham repeater setup?

My two bits worth:
I have seen these, but I do not remember the fine details.
Basically it allows the control point to selectively key the PURC
(Paging Universal Control) stations using RF links.
Useful when setting simulcast delays, as well as "Zone Paging".
Zone paging is used on wide area systems for paging in one area only, versus lighting up all stations for wide area paging.

Essentially, you have a source of spare parts.
