Can the Maxtrac / GM300 series hand mics be used in the MCS2000 radio series ?

Although you might not want to do that, from what I've seen the GM mics sound a lot better than the MCS ones.

the standard mcs mic will work but i don't think the dtmf mic will? someone correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think it will power it up to light up or allow the dtmf to work?

Thanks for the info. It's just a personal preference for the more traditional style and feel of the Maxtrac / GM full size mic. I can't quite get used to the MCS2000 mic appearance or feel.

Quantar should be a Mostar mic, I think.

The MTR2000 uses the MCS mic, with the additional side buttons.
Amateurs train until they can do it right. Professionals train until they cannot do it wrong.

Yes, and I could never get the side buttons to work. So I have a couple of mics available if anyone needs one or two. These sound mushy on Maxtrac/Radius mobiles, so were retired..
