i have the cdm1550 series mobile in my car, i have hooked up the radio power to the ign key so when the ke is on it supplys power to the radio. but it doesnt turn on the radio until i press the power button, i have to press the power button every time i turn on the car, it there some pins i can jumper on the radio that will tell it to turn on automatically when power is on the input? or do i need to supply it with constant power and supply ign power to some pins on the 16 pin connector? any help would be great! thanks

Hook up a jumper from the power plug to pin 10 on the 20 pin connector on the back of the radio that is the ign sense pin that will let the radio turn it self on when you start the car

Whatever you do, make sure that the 12 gauge power/ground wires go diectly to a full time hot power sounrce that doesn't shut off.
Once that's done, connect pin 10 through a 1amp fuse and get power for this lead from the ignition switch.

You might want to try something that I suggested to the "M" tech guys a little while ago;
If, and ONLY if, you are NOT using the "Alarm Out" (pin 4) to flash your lights or honk your horn, you can connect it to pin 10 (the Ignition Sense input) of the accessory connector.
Pin 4 normally goes high when 12 volts is applied to the RED lead of the power cable. It is connected to "Filtered A+" through a 4.7k resistor, which will pull the Ignition Sense lead (pin 10) up to about 6 volts, enough to reliably Auto Turn on the radio.
The Volume Button will still turn an ON radio off, and then back on again if you need to do this.
