Why don't the LED buttom flash while the frequency is busy?

Post by themedic66 »

I have noticed that on our AS3s, that the LED only turns red when you transmit. I have also noticed that the LED doesn't flash while the channel is busy/in use, unlike the older regular sabers..why is this?

It's the LAPD ASTRO SABER 3

I'm not really that sure..i haven't got sworn in yet, therefore I haven't worked with the radios extensively enough to know that.

However, here is a link that might be able to answer that question:

Is the radio on a trunking system or conventional channels?

What radios do you own?: Motorola/Kenwood

are your channels running a PL on the receive channel?
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

The busy LED is probably disabled. (Under Rx Options tabs in the Conventional Personalities in CPS.)
