Someone shut off DHCP in the router. Result: I don't know the routers ip. Can't access the web interface using http or Cisco SDM. I can access IOS thru the console port but i am not proficient in IOS using the CLI.

Any help out there?

Learn IOS? For basic stuff, it's really not that hard... and about your only option.

Make a manual ARP table entry for the router, and assign it an IP address on your same local subnet that the computer currently is on.

Then, you can try and connect remotely to the router, and see if that works. Other than that, just hook up the console cable to the device, kick open a terminal session, and give it some love...

from IOS 'show ip interface brief" should show the ip addresses of the various interfaces.

Go to the Cisco Website: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/ ... 42bc.shtml

If you need a Cisco cable, holler & I'll send one over. Clear the password (s)and at a console prompt: Show Run and post the results.
