Zetron ZR310 in the middle of nowhere!!!

Post by zs6hz »

Good day,

I'm currently in north eastern Angola in the bush, miles from anywhere at a prospecting camp (about 120 miles from the nearest porcelain toilet  ).

They have two Motorola CM-140's that I have programmed up for them, and they are interfaced by a ZR310 panel. The panel currently lights the "Rx" light when the receiver radio is receiveing, but it's not keying the transmitter.

I have programmed both radios with the CM-140 software configuration for the ZR310 but I just can't get the darned thing to work.

Do I have to alter the programming of the Zetron, and if so, can this be done in the bush?

I eagerly await some info, if anyone is able to assist.

Regards,
Marc ZS6HZ
