Hey Guys,
Well, I'm in a bit of trouble and need to get a link working. I am connecting a UHF MSF5000 to a VHF Quantar. Both are setup for conventional use only.
I am going to connect the Line 1 from the MSF to the Line 2 of the Quantar and the Line 2 from the MSF to Line 1 of the Quantar. Then connect the COS and PTT to each. That is the easy part that I have figured out. The stations are located right beside each other.
How do I adjust the audio going back and forth to control the deviation. I have manuals, test gear and RSS for each station.
I also have the Quantar programmed the way I want for the wildcard tables.
I'm not to familiar with the MSF as far as programming, do I need to do anything special?
Thanks guys, help is much appreciated as the system is down right now!!
Jamie

Is the MSF a newer 'digital' station with the 2-digit display? You can set the wireline levels via the eepots with the toggle switches in the front of the station...it's all in the manual. If it's the older analog station, someone else will have to chime in, as I've never worked with one.
It's been many years since I've messed with the Quantar wireline, but I believe it's under the station alignment screens. Someone else (XMO, RKG, etc) will know much more about it than I.
