spectra MLM question

Post by fredv »

I recently acquired a MLM ver 6.15 on a control board from a vhf range 2 radio that seemingly was used with a syntor 9000e control head. The radio I put it in has a A5 head on it. So when I try to read the codeplug I get an error 79 stating the program can not read the s9000e head and it aborts the read.
Is there a way to get it to reconize the A5 controlhead

Thanks;
Will

Sorry, the RSS needs to be able to "see" the A9 head in order to continue to read the MLM.

I have been able to read them in my test setup with an A9 head and then can make the changes needed to become A5/A7 compatable.

As Will has mentioned, you need to be able to at least read
the radio before any changes can be made.

Once you are able to read the codeplug, then you can bit
bang the hex code to change the head to what you want.

I got Fred's MLM today and no problem. It reads as a T83FWA7HA9AK range 2 radio.

It is now set for A5 or A7 heads.

(And NO, I did not bitbang it!!)
