repeater / car to car

Post by Whatever1 »

I know this is a basic question and I should know it but....

How would you program a repeater channel and a car to car channel.
The repeater freqs are Rx 170.0000 / Tx 173.0000

Thanks

What radios do you own?: M1225, HT100, P1225, etc

You need to first get authorization for the system.

You need to find out what kind of PL/DPL, etc is used on the system.

Car to Car might be simplex on the output frequency of the system.

As far as how to specifically program it to your radio... it's a different story.
In God we trust. Everyone else, we run through NCIC, Thinkstream, and III.

TX 170.0000
RX 173.0000
for the repeater + any PL/DPL or whatever signaling is required.

We normally program the repeater rx frequency as a talkaround

It depends on the radio. Some radios have a T/A setting that you can program in the talkaround (repeater output) channel into the same mode. Others, you'll have to dedicate a channel each to the repeater and T/A frequency pairs.
No, I will not fix your computer. Call back during NORMAL business hours.
