MTR2000 to link using 4 wire or aux audio , Best way??

Post by Vercomm »

Hey guys,

Whats the best way to connect a UHF link to a VHF MTR2000 using the 4 wire line card. Currently I haven't bought anything for the link radio, but it needs to be 412.5125MHz and 1-25watts. I have a limited budget so I thought about using a desktrac base station, what else could I use??

I'd like to stay with something a little newer, but I realize with a tight budget that may be hard. I've looked at the TAIT TM8110 with optional 600 ohm 4 wire line interface card, but really like moto stuff.

Or could I use a device to adjust the disc audio into the aux tx input and visa versca??

No need to be able to link up or down with DTMF or anything like that.

Thoughts or experiences are most welcome, look forward to hearing back!!

Jamie
