Having programming problems with HT750 series portable

Post by kennethlbryant »

I am no trouble reading and writing other radios.

This radio is version 5 firmware. I am using 6.06 CPS software.

I am using a OEM ribless cable.

I keep getting the error message with this one radio:

"Couldn't open port. Check whether device/RIB are powered on or not, and the device to RIB, and the RIB to PC connection is OK."

Does anyone know what the problem is and if so, what is the fix?

Thanks,

Ken

Probably a bad accessory flex. Before you go and replace it, first try cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. If you are comfortable opening the radio, try swapping the front housing with a known good radio.
