Razor-sharp metal edges in new Silverado's dash area

Post by Bat2way »

Just a head's-up. Be aware of the metal plate on the back side of the removable dash piece under the steering wheel. It has razor-sharp edges which can easily cut some unwary fingers pulling on it for removal. Strangely enough, there are plastic edges behind the cover which also are exceedingly easy to be cut by.

This must be an industry standard because I have had this problem with all manufactures vehicles.
I have been sliced so many times and still have the scars all over my hands wrists and arms.
Vehicle saftey standards do not seem to extend to the aftermarket personnel who have to work
under many a manufactures dash boards.
