Lo.
I'm new to the Motorola radio programming game (obviously since I'm making this post in the first place...).
I just bought an MTS2000, model HO1KDH9PW1BN and apparently it's currently got firmware version R06.72.
What CPS version do I need to program it, or will any CPS version do?
Cheers

Re: MTS2000 firmware/CPS version question
that one will probablly have to go back to motorola to be updated and you will have to fill out some paperwork for it. and it will require a smartrib if you think you can try it yourself. what isn't the radio doing that you think a firmware upgrade will fix?

Erm.... where did he ask about updating the firmware?HLA wrote:that one will probablly have to go back to motorola to be updated and you will have to fill out some paperwork for it. and it will require a smartrib if you think you can try it yourself. what isn't the radio doing that you think a firmware upgrade will fix?

mazzanet: As recent a version as you can find. There's no real way of knowing what version you'll need, as it depends entirely on what version of CPS it was programmed with last time - you'll need a version equal to or higher than what the previous person used. Try reading it, if you get "codeplug too new for this application", you'll need a newer version.
