CDM1550 Clock ???

Post by MT2000 man »

Good day all,
Under the utility's menu on the radio, it says clock, then set time ? , etc. I Set the time, etc. but my question is can you get the clock to display on the radio all the time, and display the alpha tags (like on the HT1250, where the clock always appears on the upper right corner of the display). Can the CDM display the clock like the HT portable radios can, or is it something you have to keep going into the utilitys menu for and finding it out manually ??

Thanks for any help !

You cannot have the clock displayed continuously. You can, however, assign one of the programmable buttons to display it temporarily.

Given the miserable accuracy of the clocks on the Professional Series radios I have personally stopped displaying the clocks. I was spending way too much time trying to teach people how to change them.
Amateurs train until they can do it right. Professionals train until they cannot do it wrong.

Cool, thats what I thought. I'm used to the older radios (Jedi's Spectra, etc.) so having the radio even say "clock" I thought was quite nifty. Thanks !
