Error 4-1379 on CPS Reading a CDM1250 AAM25RKF9DP5AN

Post by nfd-medic »

Hello Everyone, New to the programming scene. I purchased a CDM1250 Model: AAM25RKF9DP5AN Tanapa: IMUE6025D Ver: R05.05.04 (103TEGC293) on EBAY. I hesitate to purchase stuff from Ebay but it was a good deal. I get it, plug it in and power it up and it comes up fine but I need to program it. I connect my Panasonic CF23 running windows95 and start CPS Ver. 06.07.04 and I get Error 4-1379 invalid regional code for the cps version. use a cps version which supports the region of the source radio. Did I buy a hot radio from latin america? Is there a possibilty of getting a fix for this problem?

That's a CDM1550-LS+

Something is fishy because that's a US model, as far as I know the foreign models (PRO Series) have different model numbers

it's not a 1550 with that model number, it would end in 8an if it was. regardless of what anything says run a search on here and find out how to hack your registry to let your cps recognize all region codes and it will open it up and you can read the real model number in the radio, not what the sticker says.

That model number most definitely is a CDM1550-LS+. I'll take the price book's word on this.

Also, if it ended in 8AN, it would not exist, because 8AN is not used for the LS+ models at all

Oh... come on HLA. This is an easy one for you, being such a Waris "expert."

Someone upgraded the radio, but forgot to set the region bit.

"How are you so sure?" says HLA.

The tanapa (IMUE6025D) was valid for the following model numbers:
M25SKC9AA1A
M25SKD9AA2A
M25SKF9AA5A
M25SKF9DU5A

Thus, the model number in the radio doesn't belong to that tanapa. Even worse, the hardware in the radio is the wrong split for that model codeplug. S split hardware vs R split codeplug.

Ultimately, you need waris lab to correct it. Or find a way to force a codeplug in that is compatible with that hardware, that the region is set to "North America."

Is there another place to get the model # the sticker on the bottom of the radio is gone. I got the model # from the EBAY ad which could be wrong.

Is the tanapa sticker on the bottom?

Open it up and look for the board # to at least confirm what hardware version you have.

Latin American (LA)
CDM (M25)
High Split UHF 450+Mhz (S)
45w (k)
1250 (D)
... and the rest ultimately = conventional.

Somebody jammed a 1550 low split UHF LS+ codeplug into a high split UHF CDM1250.

But you may want to check with HLA to confirm...

I would say that someone put a board from an LA version in a CDM1550LS+ case and if it has a CDM1250 head its a real parts pup. If it is the split you need you are still ok as long as you keep it as is. If someone DID force a differant codeplug in a differant model we would all like to know how!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the only reference of his original R Split model number was from what ebay was saying, I'd agree.

It is POSSIBLE for someone to jam blanked codeplugs into the Pro Series radios. And, infact, you can save a "EEPRM CS ERROR" bricked radio, using the same method. You just need the proper S-Record and the proper software to force it in. Infact, I wouldn't be surprised if the person who did force that codeplug in that radio screwed the tuning up.

Hi All

I managed to program 100% after changing the serialstring using the " regedit " procedure.

Now my software does all the regions and I tried it on both my desktop and laptop and 100%.

If you have the same problem do a search on this forum for "regedit" and you will find the procedure.

Now I need to flash the HT1250's into 5 tone versions-next step?
