CDM1550 Signaling Options Grayed Out?

Greeting all,

I have a Moto CDM1550 LS and having difficulty getting the ID to work. My goal is to have the ID transmitted when I key the mic up. I have search up and down the forums and went over the codeplug about a million times looking for something I may have missed. When I’m in the Conventional Personalities section under the actual channel I click on the signaling tab and all my options are grayed out and unelectable. Anyone have any clues as to what I am missing here.

unfortunately the ls models will not do mdc on conventional channels unless the model number ends with 6an. in that case the radio will also do all 160 channels. the only other way is to get a non ls model if you don't need the trunking part of the radio?

Thanks for the insite. The model is a 5an. Is there any way that I can either remove the LS trunking feature or use the trunking for the identifying. I'm kind of new to this whole world of programing.

Any support would be apreciated.

you can send it to motorola and see what they want to convert it to a 6an or non ls or just find a 6an or non ls radio instead. no getting around it the way it sits.
