HT1250 Programming

Is it possible (assuming I have a codeplug), to program in a codeplug using an older version of CPS (say R06.04.00), if the radio was programmed with a newer CPS (say R06.07.xx)? I assumed it was possible as I have a codeplug made in R06.04.00, but I have not attempted to write this codeplug into my radio which was programmed with a newer version of the CPS.

Not sure, but I am pretty certain that the Waris series software checks the radio before writing to it, and the version level is part of the check process. You can try, it might fly. If it does, let us know. Can't hurt anything, it will either work or it won't.

Make sure your earlier codeplug is the same serial number, that is the only what it might work at all.

yes, it should work fine. That would have been an issue if you were using MTSx for an MT2000. The codeplug you use to write to the radio must be the exact same model.
