CDM/HT1250 combination ribless cable

Post by cbus »

Ok people, I am looking at building a ribless CDM1250 programming cable(AARKN4081B) by modifying my genuine motorola ribless ht1250 cable(RKN4075A). I have a fully populated 20pin plug for the rear accessory connector and will wire that into the factory cable i already have as above. this will save me carrying around 2 sets of programming leads +having to pay more.

Cable to be used for both programming and firmware upgrading.

What has to be done to get this to work ? If its not an easy task, i'll have to hand over the cost for the new ribless cable :(

Thanks :)

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

if you want to be able to flash the firmware with this cable you want to alter you may run into problems. firmware gets picky so you may want to go with a separate cable. if it was just for programming that would be a different story.
