DSTAR on Quantar or MSF5000

Post by safuser »

I have a PDR3500(Quantar based). Can this repeater be setup to pass DSTAR? What would I have to set in the RSS to do so? Would it be as simple as putting it in astro mode or would it require more? Could this be done on a MSF5000 as well.

Thanks,
Bill - W4RVN

Unfortunately they are two different animals all together, true they are both digital but that's as close as they get. They are different protocols.
In regards to the msf you may have a digital station but that refers to the command tray for the station (ie computer programmable and not prom programming)
Sorry to ruin your day
