I've just converted a 2 channel radio to an 8 channel with scanning, but the control head that I have doesn't have the either of the 2 extra buttons one of them is needed to start the scan. Is it possible to program the Maxtrac to start scanning as soon as it is powered on? If so how/where is this done? This radio is being used for receive only for an online feed. I have the hangup switch grounded so it scans when the button is pressed, just would like it to scan without any user intervention.

I'm supprised you got it to scan at all.
Even the 5 pin logic board set up properly with the full feature front has to be started manualy each power up.
However, the 16pin logic board set up properly will be in the scan mode when powered up (if it was scanning when shut off).

I do have the full feature front on it, but its from a 6 channel radio (no scan or select buttons on face just slugs). Bummer on 5pins not auto scanning though.
