GM300 - Can't stop the scan!

Post by wbickle »

Just acquired another GM300 via eBay. Need help sorting out these problems:

Powers up with a beep-beep (not a beep and not a beep-boop). Hmmm...

The monitor light does not come on when no mike is attached.

The radio proceeds to scan furiously (with the channel numbers visible!).

None of the scan-related lights on the front panel are lit.

The radio doesn't respond to any of the front panel control push-buttons.

I've tried cloning from a known good radio, without effect.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

Did you look inside? Isn't there a some kind of "trunking" board installed? (Like E-Trunk for example).
