what is everyones opinion on the best DOS settings to get the quietest muting on MDC...
we are using Pre-Key MDC-1200 with Pre-Time of 500ms, on a Kenwood repeater with almost instant repeat.. (my personal radio has dekey, and no problems in the beginning)... i am just trying to get the best amount of DOS muting such that the members complain the least.. its kinda related... [Greater Muting] = [Less Complaining], i think thats called in inverse relation..
we've played with Preamble at times... our neighboring FD's with MT1000's complain about being too noisy... eh.. can't make everyone happy...

Re: DOS settings opinions?
Pre-amble is by far the best DOS muting and voting helper out there. There aren't many other settings you can use that will help. It will mute when it detects data but something will always get through. There is the fixed pre-mute time but I don't like that. It ends up pre-muting dispatch.
