GR1225 Programming

I have a PC which I've been using to program Astro Sabers, MCS 2000, CDM, and HT1250 radios with the CPS software. I have valid R-1225 software and have a Motorola factory RIB with cable and cannot get my PC to communicate with the radio. My PC is running Windows XP and hasn't had any issues programming the other radios. Is there something different with the the r-1225? Did I just spend several hundred dollars on software that I can't use because it's not compatible?? Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of 1225 RSS are you using? Only 4.0 works with WinXP.

I hope not because obviously it didn't come from Motorola, else you would have the newest version.
