Ok, by applying 12vdc to pins 4 and 19 and negative to 13 and 17, I've found this should power the radio up for programming. Will doing this also put the radio into receive mode? I wasn't sure if that meant it just powered enough components for programming.

One more thing, where is the best place to get a good level of non-demphasized (discriminator) audio from the unit?
