Hello,

Could anyone direct me to instructions on removing the case of a Motorola HT-1000.

Thank you!

What radios do you own?: I can't enter that much....

Remove the antenna, volume knob, and channel knob. The two knobs just pull straight off (may need a pair of pliers, just don't be too rough with them). Lay the radio on it's face, with the top facing away from you and the battery removed. Insert a screwdriver between the bottom of the metal chassis and the plastic front half, and gently pry, as if you wanted to push the metal chassis up, while swinging the screwdriver down away from the radio. The bottom of the metal chassis should slide out of the plastic front half from the bottom, and you can then pull the metal chassis down out of the top of the plastic front half. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here, I'm working entirely from memory.

Motorola makes a tool for this, which will leave fewer marks than a screwdriver.
