I've got a MCS2000 sitting on my bench that doesn't want to play nice, whilst attempting to write to it all appeared to go well, but now the radio only shows CSQ on the display and I'm unable to read from it.
Amy ideas on what went wrong?
And, more importantly, how can I fix it?!
Thanks in advance,
Steve
MCS200 Displays CSQ?

Re: MCS200 Displays CSQ?
A word of caution while programming an MCS2000, make sure you RIB voltage is not low.
These radios do not like to have the RIB voltage low. Using a Polaris RIB is all but
impossible. If you put an external supply across the Polaris RIB battery and put the
voltage at 3.1 volts, it will program the radio. Below this voltage you roll the dice.

You words of caution are duly noted Jim.Jim202 wrote:A word of caution while programming an MCS2000, make sure you RIB voltage is not low.

All my usual precautions were taken, charged laptop, radio powered by 12v battery, new 9v alkaline in the RIB - a combination that I have used without drama on MTS/MCS and XTS radios until this stubborn bugger arrived.
Surely someone must have an idea on how to revive it?
Cheers,
Steve
