Here's a question nobody seems to know the answer to.
At work, we have 3 channels. Each channel is just a talkgroup on one of 3 systems. There are 3 separate (and spaced out) systems that provide coverage in different cities in the area. Each system has a different System ID (1F20, 291C & 6908). The talkgroup ID is the same on each of the 3 systems, however it isn't linked (the base station/dispatch has 3 radios with yagi's on the roof pointing to each system).
My question is this: I already know now that if I scan the three talkgroups in the same scanlist it will pull the talkgroup from each independant system (IE, it'll scan across systems), but here's what I don't know. If for some reason the talkgroup/system that the radio is sitting on when scan is enabled (selected channel) is out of range will the radio still continue to scan the other two talkgroups/systems?
The radio is legit on the system and has a valid radio ID on each of the 3 systems.
Thanks for your input!

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
Re: Talkgroup Scan question
if all are in the scanlist it should keep scanning all even if you leave the area for one of them. is there anywhere you can go that you will be in range of all three at the same time?
