Is there a way to increase the RX audio level? It is fine with the CIE speakers but I'd like to get some more out of the headsets. With the GUI volume slider at full and the headset at full, it is only "OK".
There is the little blue varicap on the front of the BIM but from what I recall, that only adjusts TX level.

There are a couple 4-position dip switches in the CIE to change audio level. S-5 controls telephone audio to headset and S-6 controls select audio to headset. Position 1 closed gives full volume. 2 closed is -6db. 3 closed is -12 db. 4 closed is -18 db. None closed is -24 db. Also a jumper JU4 in the headset box will change the maximum rx audio for both phone and select audio. Hope this helps.

I just set them both for 0db and it had no effect. Actually, none of the settings have any effect at all. Is there something else I need to do? The headset block J4 is not there so it is already at full.
There are the big pots on the CIE. Any idea what those do?

Re: Getting more RX audio out of a centracom gold
Sorry, my mistake. I followed the wrong path on the schematic. The switches change the audio output to the handset jack, not the headset jack. No such switches for headset audio. I find 3 pots on the print but none control radio rx audio. R422 is telephone rx audio. R445 is PA audio output. R453 is telephone tx audio. I see no other help unless you feel up to changing op-amp feedback resistors.

Funny you mentioned that. The telephone TX needed a boost anyway. Too bad there is nothing else for the radio RX. I'd be fine changing resistors if it wasn't for the cow that MSS would have next I have a problem I need them for. Is there anything on the BIM that can be adjusted?

No adjustments on the BIM or COIM. That would make things too easy.
