Hi, I have a STX 821 radio, model H35JNC5170CN, and I would like to program it to monitor a local system and am clueless as to exactly what I need to do.
Anyone who can help me, please post a email addy, or send me a private message via the batlabs thing and I'll explain what I would like to do and so on........

Hi:

Unless your radio has undergone some
extensive changes, the JNC models really
are not STX821's.

You can look to see if yours has a GReen
Logic Board and see what firmware is on the
IC.

Unfortunitely, the Label on the front can
easily be replaced. The model on the other hand is a different issue

However, most if not all JNC's series were a
Type 1 radio only, and most systems now use
type ll, or lli

I do have a few Enahanced STX821's if you
are intersted if yours has not been upgraded
