Minitor 4/5 and Advisor programming going to ribless

Post by escomm »

I heard from a birdy today that the Advisor kit should be available within 60 days, no word yet on the Minitor 4 or 5 kits. Universal interfaces are marked for cancel upon depletion. I'm not sure if it's just a cable that will go from the serial or USB port to the cradle or if new cradles are coming out as well.

If they were smart, it would be a cradle with a USB connector on the back. One garden variety cable and you're golden. Shouldn't need power either... USB has plenty of +5 available.

USB-serial adapter + db9-db25 adapter + upi + curly cable + cradle + power brick sucks.
