Motorola Battery Fault

Have a Motorola 7.2V Lithium-Ion Battery that when placed on battery reconditioner, I get the following code:

E03 Battery Fault

Anyone know what this means?

I don't think the Li-Ion chemistry is supported by that unit, if it's the same one I have (I get the same error code when I try the Li Ion batteries)

Even if the analyzer supports lithium ion batteries (newer units did, and will indicate so on the front left of the unit), you require a specific adaptor for them. The regular adaptors are generally for NiCD and/or NiMH only.

This is the only type of batteries I have and I am doing about 30 batteries....I just got this code with 2 batteries...so I think its just these 2 batteries cause they have been conditioned before...just wondered if they were junk now or what.

Ah, good information to give. Do the units appear to charge in a regular charger (red lights turning green)? What voltage do you measure at the output pins of the battery? Does the analyzer immediately show the E03, or do you see the displayed voltage either not coming up very quickly, or shooting up way past 7.5v quickly?

Yeah they appear to charge normally...I havent measured the voltage at the output pins. As far as the analyzer...I put it on, it takes about 5-10 seconds and the error message comes up and then the volts start to go down til reaches ' 0 '. I have noticed alot of my batteries after being conditioned are coming up below 900 so I know some need replaced. These two batteries got me confused.
